Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 C soft shortening (half butter)
• 1/2 C peanut butter
• 1/2 C sugar
• 1/2 C brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 1/4 C flour
• 1/2 tsp. baking powder
• 3/4 tsp. soda
• 1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together shortening, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, and egg.

Add dry ingredients.

Chill the dough. Roll into balls the size of a large walnut. Place on lightly greased, or sprayed, cookie sheet, 3" apart. With a fork dipper in flour, flatten with a criss cross. ?Bake until set, but not hard at 375 degrees, 10 to 12 minutes.
