Ingredients
- Cream sauce:
- 1 whole frying chicken, cut up
- 1 bunch green onions (reserve stems for sauce)
- 1 bunch parsley
- dill to flavour
- 1 large carrot
- 1 tbsp pickling spice (in a tea ball)
- salt & pepper to taste
- 3 heaping tbsp flour
- 1/2 pint whipping cream
- 1/2 pint sour cream
- stems from green onions (chopped)
- chopped fresh dill

Preparation
Step 1
Place chicken in a large pot and cover with water. Add chopped green onions (white parts), carrots that have been large diced. Parsley & dill tied in a bouquet garni and tea ball with pickling spice.
Bring to a boil and simmer until chicken is done, approx. 1 -1 1/2 hours.
Cream Sauce:
Place flour in a bowl add whipping cream slowly until all cream is added and you have reached a smooth creamy texture. Add sour cream, green onion stems and chopped dill.
When chicken is done, pour off some of the broth and save for other uses. Remove the bouquet garni and tea ball with spice.
Pour cream sauce into chicken and stir gently while bringing to a boil to thicken.
Simmer 5 minutes then serve.
Serve with boiled new potatoes.
