  • 3-4 large Temple oranges
  • 2 large boxes of orange Jell-o
  • Hot water
  • Muffin tin
  • Strainer
  • 2 bowls

Step 1

Slice the oranges with the poles at the sides. You will not see the segments the way oranges are usually cut.
Carefully pull out the fruit and set it into a strainer.
Squeeze out as much juice as you can and discard the remains.
Tidy up the orange halves, being careful not to tear them.
Sit each orange half on the muffin tin to keep them level.

Follow the package instructions to make Jell-o Jigglers, using the squeezed orange juice as part of the liquid.
Pour the hot gelatin mix into each orange half and transfer to the refrigerator.
When they are set, trim off the edges of the oranges so they are flush with the gelatin.
Slice each orange half into segments and arrange on a platter.
