Ingredients
- 3/4 C shortening
- 1 C brown sugar
- 1/4 C molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 C flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves

Step 1
Cream shortening, brown sugar, molasses, and egg. Add dry ingredients. Form into small balls, roll in granulated sugar. Bake 2" apart at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.
