Ingredients
- Stew meat, thick 3 - 4 lbs
- 1 to 2 Tbsp oil
- 4 to 5 potatoes peeled and cubed
- 1 lb baby carrots
- 5 oz jar prepared horeradish
- 1 oz package onion soup mix
- 2 to 3 cups warm water
- 2 Tbsp flour or cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 Tbsp steak sauce

Preparation
Step 1
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown roast on all sides in oil and drain.
Add potatoes and carrots to slow cooker and transfer roast to slow cooker. If using cubed meat, wait until last hour to put in stew.
spread horseradish thickly over the top of roast and sprinkle soup mix. Carefully pour enough water around the roast to come to the top of the roast. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours.
Remove roast and vegetables and reserve juices in slow cooker. Mix flour with cold water and add to juices. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir steak sauce into vegetables and return meat and vegetables to gravy.
