  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 12 oz. canned tomatoes with juice, broken up
  • 14 oz. canned beans in tomato sauce
  • 14 oz. canned kidney beans with liquid
  • 1-3 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Step 1

Heat oil in dutch oven. Add onion and ground beef. Scramble-fry until onion is soft and no pink remains in beef. drain.

Add remaining 8 ingredients. Heat, stirring often until mixture comes to a gentle boil. Boil slowly, uncovered, stirring occasionally until mixture thickens. Taste to see if you wish to add more chili powder.
