Unsloppy Joes

Ingredients

• b lean (at least 80%) ground beef, cooked, drained
• 1 1
• can (15 oz) sloppy joe sauce
• 1 1
• teaspoon chili powder
• 1 1
• can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® refrigerated biscuits
• 1/2 1/2
• cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 oz)

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375° F. In large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently; drain. Stir in sauce and chili powder; simmer 5 minutes.
2 Press each biscuit into 6-inch round. Spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture and about 1 tablespoon cheese onto center of each round. Fold dough in half over filling; press to seal. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
3 Bake 9 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.

I guess we are different. We thought it was a waste of good Grands Biscuits. We ate only the filling. I'd remove the 1 star but I don't know how.

WOW! Absolutely delicious & everyone asked for the recipe! At the end I sprinkled a couple parsley flakes on top to make it look spiffy! =) I will definitely be making this again!! Thank you so much!!

Made these last night with my husband at the kitchen table. It was fun, quality time together. They were so yummy. We made 2 batches so we could have some for lunches. We used the butter tastin grands and it was really good. We are thinking of doing some with a chicken, cheese and mushroom filling next time!

These are monsterously fabulous! I had to use a rolling pin to get the biscuits big enough to fill, but they turned out wonderful and reheated well, too. I did make one big change- being vegetarian, instead of ground beef I used Fantastic brands' sloppy joe mix. This is my new favorite quick 'n easy meal!

Not meaning to, I made unsloppy Mexican joes!! I swapped the fillings and made Mexican unsloopy joes with the biscuits!! My husband and son were crazy about them! loved they were filling and tasty. without a doubt they will be a staple on my menu, hardest part was making sure sealed tightly but that was not an issue will being baked. I love how easy they were [even after I realized I mixed the two recipes:) will have sour cream to go with next time that's all. easy--fabulous taste--and already a big hit!!
