Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 6 tbs cold butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries, roughly chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°. Spray scone pan with Pam. In food processor, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; pulse to combine. Add butter and pulse until mixture is the size of peas. Stir in cherries.

In a large bowl, combine egg, cream and vanilla. Add flour mixture and chocolate chips; stir until just combined (do not over mix). Press evenly into pan..

Bake 15-17 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of scone comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool on a wire rack.
