Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup rice
- 2-3 tbs dried onion
- 2-3 eggs
- peppers
- 2 tbs crisco
- flour
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tbs paprika
- 1 tbs sugar
- 2 tsp salt

Step 1
Mix together beef, rice, dried onion, eggs. Stuff peppers.
In a small frying pan, put Crisco and enough flour to make a thick paste. Stir constantly until paste is a deep brown.
Add chopped tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, ketchup, paprika, sugar, salt. Place stuffed peppers in pan. Fill with enough water to cover peppers.
Bake on 375° for 30 minutes and then decrease oven temperature to 350°. Continue baking for 1 1/2 hours.
