Step 1

Place 4 c of fresh fruit in a large bowl, sliced, such as strawberries, peaches, grapes, blue berries, raspberries, plums, pears. Ross with 1/2 c sugar and 3 sprigs basil. Stir in 1 1/2 c white rum or cachaca and refrigerate at least 2 hours and up to 8, stirring occasionally. To serve remove basil springs and stir in juice of one lime and garnish with basil leaves.
