Ingredients
- DOUGH:
- 2 tbsp. dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 1/2-5 cups flour
- TOPPING:
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. karo syrup
- 1/2 cup roughly chopped pecans
- INSIDE:
- 1 cup canola oil
- sugar and cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine yeast, sugar, and water. Cover, and set aside till frothy on top.
2. Combine 3 cups of flour, sugar, and salt in mixing bowl, mix well. Make a well in center,add milk, eggs, shortening, and yeast. Add more flour as needed. Mix well.
3. Oil, cover, let rise for 1 1/2 hours.
4. While rising in a pot melt margarine for topping, add rest of topping ingredients.
5. Pour topping on bottom of 9" round pan.
6. Roll dough in rectangular shape, spread on oil, liberally spread cinnamon sugar, drizzle more oil on top.
7. Cut into thick circles and place on top of topping.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
