Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup water

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cut the flour into the shortening and butter.
2. Add the water and salt.
3. Mix ONLY until the flour has been wetted. Overmixing will make the pastry tough. Form into a ball
4. Chill for 15 -20 minutes.
5. Cut ball in half and each half will make a double crust pie.
6. Roll out on a floured cupboard to about 2 inches larger than the upside down pie plate.
