Ingredients

  • 1 bag of frozen hash browns (2 lb. bag, cubed or shredded)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) bag sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup

Step 1

Thaw potatoes, drain off any water. In a saucepan melt butter, add onion, soup and sour cream. Remove from heat and add salt and pepper. Pour over potatoes in a 9x13 pan. Stir slightly to evenly distribute sauce. Bake 1 hour. Top with cheese and return to oven to melt.
