Ingredients
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 1 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 tablespoon Amaretto liqueur
- 3/4 cup ground almonds
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream, chilled

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in top of double boiler over simmering water. In a bowl, beat eggs with sugar and add gelatin. Add to melted butter and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 6-8 minutes. Remove from heat. Add almonds and amaretto. Blend well.
Refrigerate until mixture just begins to set. Whip cream to soft peaks and gently fold into Amaretto mixture. Chill about 4 hours, or up to a week.
