Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 c. fine cracker crumbs
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 (15 oz.) can Hunt's tomato sauce with tomato bits
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar, packed

Preparation
Step 1
Mix beef, crumbs, onion, green pepper, egg, 1/2 can Hunt's, salt and pepper. Shape into loaf baking pan (greased). Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, drain fat. Mix water, brown sugar to remaining sauce. Pour over loaf. Bake 20 minutes longer.
Yields: 6 servings.
