Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon, cubed and cooked. Reserve ~4 Tbsp grease.
  • 1 lb ground beef, cooked
  • 1 Vadalia (or large Yellow onion), finely chopped
  • 1 large can baked beans, well drained (NOT rinsed)
  • 1 regular size can kidney beans, rinsed and well drained
  • 1 regular size can black beans, rinsed and well drained
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

Step 1

Cook bacon and ground beef separately. Reserve 4 Tbsp bacon grease. In bacon grease, cook onion, garlic powder, dry mustard, vinegar, and brown sugar for ~20 mins or until onions are soft. In a large baking dish, combine cooked bacon, ground beef, onion mixture, and all beans. Cover and bake at 325 for ~45-50 minutes or until heated throughout. Can transfer to a crockpot on Low once heated through to keep warm.
