- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- salt
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 10 ounces grated Swiss cheese
- Medium onion
- 3 tablespoons butter

Step 1
Combine ingredients. Boil a large pot of water and add in a pinch of salt. Pour dough into the spaetzle hobel and move back and forth. When all the dough is turned into noodles, stir boiling water 1-2 minutes. Use a skimmer to take the spaetzle out of the boiling water. Put down some spaetzle, then a layer of Swiss cheese. Repeat until all noodles and cheese are used. Stir.
Chop up a medium onion. Heat 3 tablespoons of butter and saute onions until browned. Pour over the spaetzle.
