Ingredients
- 4 medium yams
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1-2 cups finely chopped pecans
- Spray baking dish with non-stick spray

Preparation
Step 1
Boil yams. Drain water and let cool for 10 minutes. Peel yams. Mash together with remaining ingredients (except for pecans). Sample the yams and season to taste if necessary. Use 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop up mashed yam mixture. Place scoop of yams in the plate of chopped pecans and gently coat with nuts. Place each ball into baking dish Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes.
