Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar (+ more if desired)
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 pkg (17.25 oz, 2 sheets) frozen puff pastry, thawed in package
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled

Step 1

Mix cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle a board with some of the mixture. Put sheet of puff pastry on board and roll to a 10 inch squre. Brush with half the melted butter. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon/sugar mixture. Brush edges with water. Roll sides toward the center making 3 turns on each side so the rolls touch in the middle. Gently press rolls together. Repeat with 2nd piece of dough. Place on cookie sheet. Chill 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 2 cookie sheets. Cut rolls into slices 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle cookie sheets with some of cinnamon sugar mixture. Lay cookies on sheet 2 inches apart. Sprinkle with plain sugar if desired. Bake 15 minutes til puffy and golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
