Ingredients
- 1 pound green split peas; dried
- 2 cups onion; diced
- 1-1/2 cup carrot; diced
- 1 cup celery; diced
- 2 teaspoon garlic; minced
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1-1/4 pound ham hock(s)
- 7 cup water

Preparation
Step 1
Place all ingredients and 7 cups water in a 5-1/2 quart or larger
slow-cooker.
Cover and cook on high 6 hours or low 12 hours until peas are soft and fall
apart.
Remover ham, cool, and cut meat off the bone and dice.
Use immersion blender to puree soup, leaving chunks.
Return ham to soup.
