Easy Weeknight Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce 1 Picture

  • 2 lb bulk Italian sausage or ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) sliced mushrooms
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 cans (18 oz each) Progresso™ Recipe Starters™ fire roasted tomato cooking sauce

Preparation

Step 1

1 Spray 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In 12-inch skillet, cook sausage, onion, mushrooms and garlic over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink; drain very well.

2 Place sausage mixture into slow cooker. Stir in cooking sauce. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 8 to 9 hours.

Leftovers taste great as pizza melts, hot hoagies, a baked potato topper or a pizza topping!
