Ingredients

  • 4 lbs chicken thighs, rinsed
  • 4 stalks celery, cut into chunks fronds and all
  • 4 carrots, cut into chunks
  • 1 large onion, cut into wedges peel and all
  • 4 Tbsp chicken base
  • 4 tsp Lawry's seasoning salt
  • 4 tsp Krazy salt
  • 4 tsp celery salt
  • black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Fill a stock pot half full with water. Add all ingredients to pot and bring to boil. Cover pot with lid leaving a 1/2 inch opening on one side. Turn heat down and simmer for one hour.

Remove chicken pieces and set aside for 20 minutes to cool slightly. Remove bones from chicken thighs, crack and add back to the pot. Save the chicken meat for another use.

Bring soup back to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer another hour to hour and a half. Strain and use in your soup recipe!
