Ingredients

  • 2 c. All Bran Cereal
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 quart low fat buttermilk
  • 4 c. bran flakes
  • 5 c. flour
  • 5 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt

Step 1

Pour hot water over All Bran and set aside to cool. Dissolve soda in buttermilk and set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, salt and eggs. Add buttermilk and stir. Add bran mixture and bran flakes and mix. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Better keeps in fridge up to 6 weeks; bake as you need them. Makes many!
