Ingredients

  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 1 (14 oz.) package caramels
  • 4 (2 oz.) squares chocolate almond bark

Step 1

Arrange pecan halves in groups of 5 on lightly greased cookie sheets, each group resembling head and legs of a turtle. Place an unwrapped caramel in the center of each pecan cluster. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until caramel melts. Lift with greased spatula onto wire rack to cool. Place almond bark in the top of a double boiler and bring the water to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cool until almond bark melts, stirring occasionally. Spread on top of turtles. Makes 4 dozen.
