Ingredients
- 2 prepared pie crusts, top and bottom
- 1/2 c butter, softened
- 2/3 c Parker County pecan halves
- 2/3 c brown sugar
- 6 c apples, cut into pieces and covered with lemon juice
- 1/4 c brown sugar
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Step 1
Spread butter on bottom of 9" pie pan.
Arrange pecans, rounded side down, in pan. Sprinkle 2/3 c brown sugar over pecans and press. Apply pie pastry to pan over pecans and brown sugar.
In a bowl, combine 1/4 c brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg, Sprinkle over apple pieces. Place apple pieces in pan.
Place top pie crust over apples and fold over edges.
Bake at 450 degrees F for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake 30-45 minutes longer. Let cool for 5 minutes. Invert onto plate.
