- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 cup quick cooking brown rice
- 1/3 cup mixed dried fruit bits
- 3/4 cup skim milk
- Dash ground nutmeg
- 4 tsp brown sugar

Step 1
In a 2 qt saucepan bring the water and salt to boiling. Add brown rice; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 7 minutes. Stir in fruit bits. Cover and simmer for 5 - 7 minutes more or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Stir in milk and nutmeg. Heat through. To serve, sprinkle each with 1 tsp brown sugar.
