Cinnamon Custard Sauce

Cinnamon Custard Sauce 0 Picture


  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon



Step 1

1. In a saucepan, simmer heavy cream and milk;remove from heat. Whisk egg yolks and sugar; whisk in 1/4 cup hot cream. Slowly pour egg mixture into cream mixture. Reurn pan to medium low heat and whisk until custard thickens, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, whisk in vanilla and cinnamon

Serve hot or cold with berries and pound cake
