Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds chicken pieces
  • 1 (1 1/2 ounce) package dry spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 cup cornflake crumbs
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cups sauterne wine or water
  • 3 ripe tomatoes, cut up or 1 (1 pound) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 round onion, sliced
  • Sliced ripe olives

Preparation

Step 1

Sprinkle chicken pieces with seasoned salt. Blend dry spaghetti sauce mix with the cornflake crumbs in a large plastic bag. Toss chicken in crumb mixture.

Fry in electric skillet to brown, using 1/4 cup oil. Add wine or water, tomatoes, mushrooms, sliced onions, and remaining crumb mixture. Cover and simmer 1 hour or until chicken is tender.

Garnish with the sliced ripe olives.
