Ingredients
- Chocolate Icing:
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 4 tbsp cocoa
- 1/2 cup Wesson oil
- 1/2 cup margarine, melted
- 1 cup water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 box powdered sugar (4 cups)
- 4 tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp vanilla
- dash salt
- 6 tbsp milk

Step 1
Mix all ingredients together except buttermilk. Add last. (This prevents batter from being lumpy). Pour into 3 8" round cake pans or 1 9" X 13" oblong pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 - 25 minutes, until center is set.
For icing, cream margarine and sugar together. Add cocoa, vanilla, salt and milk until mixture reaches spreading consistency. Spread icing on warm cake. Covers one 9" X 13" cake.
