Ingredients
- 2-3 lbs beef cubes (chuck)
- 2 cans chopped tomatoes partially drained
- 6 carrots quartered or baby carrots
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 3 medium onions quartered ( Add small red potatoes if you like)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 3 tbsp minute tapioca
- 1 can drained sliced chestnuts
- pepper to taste
- 1 cup red wine (optional but adds flavor)

Mix altogether, place in a casserole. Bake at 250° for 5 hours
