  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter (unsalted)
  • 3/4 Cup Sourdough Starter

Step 1

Instructions:
• Line baking sheet with parchment paper and coat with butter
• Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar
• Slice or grate butter and work into flour by hand or with fork. Small lumps of butter should remain.
• Stir in sourdough until flour is nearly absorbed
• Knead on floured surface until smooth and not sticky nor dry.
• Roll to .75 to 1 inch thick and cut out rounds, roll remainder and cut again.
• Place on prepared pan and let rise at room temperature until doubled in size - 10 to 30 min.
• Preheat oven to 400F and bake biscuits 12 to 15 minutes.
