Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • 8 oz mushrooms
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, cooked (med size)
  • 6 slices bread
  • 3 T pesto
  • 8 oz swiss cheese
  • 6 oz crab meat, drained
  • 14 oz artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 C milk
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/8 t cayenne pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Spray 9 x 13 glass dish.

Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook 5-7 minutes. Add shrimp and heat.

Spread 3 slices of bread with pesto, top with remaining 3 slices and press frimly together. Cut into 1/2" cubes.

Layer half of bread cubes in baking dish, sprinkle with 1/2 the cheese, top with all of mushroom/shrimp mixture, crab, and artichoke hearts. Top with remaining bread cubes and cheese.

Beat eggs, add milk, salt, and cayenne pepper and pour over bread. Make sure bread is covered (push down if needed).

Cover and refrigerate 8 hours (or overnight).

Bake uncovered 35-40 minutes at 350. Let stand 5 minutes.
