Ingredients

  • 4 8 oz. salmon fillets
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (zest of 1 lemon)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 6 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Step 1

Start with preparing your fresh ginger by removing the skin and finely grating 1 1/2 tablespoons. Then zest and juice your lemon. Roughly chop your parsley. In a small mixing bowl, combine your fresh ginger, lemon zest, parsley, honey, hoison sauce, and brown sugar. Mix until combined and the brown sugar is dissolved.

Brush your salmon fillet generously with the glaze. Meanwhile, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Place your salmon in the skillet and cook it until no longer opaque, about 5-7 minutes on each side, making sure to brush with additional glaze occasionally. Once cooked, plate your salmon, brush with additional glaze, and top with fresh chopped scallions.
