Ingredients
- 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup fruit juice (grape, orange, apple)
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon mace
- 1 (16 ounce) package diced fruitcake mix
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup currants

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat the oven to 300°F. Grease and flour a 10 or 12 cup Bundt pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, juice, molasses and brandy; mix well. The mixture may appear curdled. Mix in all of the remaining ingredients. Spoon into the prepared pan.
3. Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan. Remove from the pan; cool completely on a rack. To store, wrap tightly with plastic wrap.
