- 2 stick Butter, unsalted; at room temperature
- 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
- 2-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 rw Salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 confectioner's sugar; for dusting

Step 1
Beat butter with wooden spoon in a bowl until creamy. Gradually beat sugar
until smooth. Beat in flour, salt, and vanilla; mixture will be stiff.
Pinch off small pieces of dough with slightly moistened fingers; roll into
1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in 375 °F oven 13 - 14 minutes, until bottoms are golden. Do not let
tops brown.
Remove from sheet; roll in or dust with confectioners' sugar. If making
ahead, dust with more sugar to serve.
