Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 stick, oleo and 1/2 cup shortening or
- (2 sticks oleo)
- 1 cup water
- 3 or 4 Tbsps Cocoa
- 2 eggs- well beaten
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon (if desired)

Preparation
Step 1
Sift together dry ingredients.
In saucepan melt and bring to boil, oleo, water and Cocoa, then pour over the dry ingredients.
Mix together eggs, buttermilk, vanilla and cinnamon and pour into the first 2 mixtures. Mix well.
Bake in a sheet cake pan, greased and floured. Bake 20 minutes 350 degrees
FROSTING:
1 stick oleo
3 Tbsp. Cocoa
6 Tbsp. Milk
Mix in saucepan. heat over low to medium heat. Do not allow to boil. Remove from heat, add 1 box Powered Sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 cut nuts. I sometimes add cream cheese at this time.
Frost as soon as cake is baked.
