Streusel Cake with Pie Filling

Ingredients
- 2-1/2 cup flour
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 stick margarine
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 can pie filling
- 1/2 cup almonds; chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Preparation
Step 1
Sift together first four ingredients. Cut in margarine until particles are
fine. Reserve 1 cup crumb mixture for topping.
Intro remaining crumb mixture stir in baking powder and baking soda. Add
egg, 1 cup buttermilk and beat at low speed. Turn into well greased 13 x 9
x 2 inch pan. Bake 30 minutes at 350 °F
Add lemon juice and 1/4 teaspoon almond extract to cherr or other pie
filling and spread over hot cake.
Combine reserved crumb mixture with chopped almonds and sprinkle over cake.
Bake 15 minutes at 400 °F
