  • 4 Cups peeled fresh peach slices
  • 1/3-2/3 cups Sugar (depends on how sweet fruit is)
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. or more butter or oleo
  • nd Part:
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup Shortening
  • 3 Tbsp. Milk
  • 1 Egg

Step 1


Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Place peaches in ungreased square baking dish or pan. (8X8X2)

Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon as in part 1, dot with butter.

In mixing bowl, mix 1st 5 ingredient. cutting in the shortening thoroughly (like making a pie crust), as in part 2.

Mix egg and milk and ADD to this mixture.

Drop by spoonful onto fruit in pan.

Bake 25-35 minutes until topping is golden brown.
