Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup ground blanched almonds
- 18 maraschino cherries cut in half (drained on paper towel)

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add flour, almonds and vanilla. Mix well with hands. Shape dough into 36 medium sized balls pushing cherry into each and rolling again in palm of hand to make a perfect ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 25 minutes at 325ºF.
Roll in icing sugar while hot.
