Peanut Blossoms

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening or margarine
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1-3/4 cup flour
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 2 Tbsp. of milk
• Chocolate Star Candies

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter, brown sugar, egg, peanut butter, vanilla and milk. Add flour, salt and baking soda, mix completely. Roll into small balls, then roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 375. When almost done (when cookie starts to crack), press in one star. Return to oven for approximately one minute.
