Ingredients

- 1 cube butter
- 2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 4 T. cocoa
- 2 eggs
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 t. vanilla
- Frosting
- 1 stick butter
- 4 T. cocoa
- 1 box powdered sugar (4 3/4 c.)
- 1 t. vanilla
- 5 T. milk

Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour, sugar and salt together. Bring butter, water, shortening and cocoa to a boil and pour over flour mixture. Mix. Beat eggs in another bowl and add baking soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Stir and add to flour mixture. Mix evenly; pour in greased 15 1/2 x 10 x 1 sheet for 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes. While it is cooking, make the frosting by melting the butter and cocoa together (do not boil). Add powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. Remove from heat. Pour over baked cake when hot.
