Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley sprigs
- 1/3 cup walnuts or pine nuts
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup olive or vegetable oil
- salt to taste

Step 1
Combine all ingredients in food processor bowl or blender container. Cover and process 30 seconds or until very smooth. Refrigerate or freeze up to 3 months. Toss pesto with hot cooked pasta or add several tablespoons to salad dressings, sauces or soup for extra flavor.
