  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 can peeled tomato wedges undrained 14.5 ounce can
  • 2 large green bell peppers cut into 1 inch wide strips
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • hot cooked noodles or rice

  • 1 . Cut steak into 3 inch pieces.
  • 2 . In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown in hot oil.
  • 3 . Transfer steak to a 4 quart crock pot.
  • 4 . Add tomatoes and pepper strips.
  • 5 . Combine onion and next 6 ingredients.
  • 6 . Pour over mixture in slow cooker.
  • 7 . Cover and cook on high setting for 7 hours.
  • 8 . Combine cornstarch and water stirring until the mixture is smooth.
  • 9 . Stir into mixture in slow cooker.
  • 10 . Cook, uncovered, on high 10 to 15 minutes or until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
  • 11 . Serve over noodles or rice.
