- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 can peeled tomato wedges undrained 14.5 ounce can
- 2 large green bell peppers cut into 1 inch wide strips
- 1 cup onion chopped
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup cold water
- hot cooked noodles or rice

- 1 . Cut steak into 3 inch pieces.
- 2 . In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown in hot oil.
- 3 . Transfer steak to a 4 quart crock pot.
- 4 . Add tomatoes and pepper strips.
- 5 . Combine onion and next 6 ingredients.
- 6 . Pour over mixture in slow cooker.
- 7 . Cover and cook on high setting for 7 hours.
- 8 . Combine cornstarch and water stirring until the mixture is smooth.
- 9 . Stir into mixture in slow cooker.
- 10 . Cook, uncovered, on high 10 to 15 minutes or until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
- 11 . Serve over noodles or rice.
