Ingredients
- 1-1/2 pounds cubed steak
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced or crushed tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, cut into strips
- 1 medium bell pepper, cut into strips (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
1. Dust meat with flour.
2. In heavy skillet, brown both sides of meat in 1/3 cup of vegetable oil.
3. Transfer to Dutch oven.
4. Combine garlic, can of diced or crushed tomatoes, onion, bell pepper, and about 3/4 of one tomato-can with water.
5. Pour over steak
6. Place in 350 degree F oven
7. Cook for 2 hours.
Note: Meat will be so tender it will fall off the fork.
