Ingredients

  • 3 lbs pork spareribs
  • 1 C chili sauce
  • 3 T cider vinegar
  • 1 T dry mustard
  • 1 T packed brown sugar
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • pinch cayenne pepper

Preparation

Step 1

cut spareribs into serving-size pieces and place in large pot; cover with water and bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 mintutes or just until tneder. Drain well and arrange in shallow dish.

Meanwhile, in saucepan, combine chili sauce, vinegar, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire, hot pepper sauce, oregano and cayenne; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 mintues; let cool.

Pour sauce over ribs, turning to coat well. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Reserving sauce, place ribs on greased grill over medium-high heat; cook, brushing with sauce occasionally and tuning once, for 15 minutes or until browned.
