Turmeric Ginger Lemonade

Ingredients
- 4 Cups of water
- 1 Teaspoon tumeric powder (or prefereably a 3-inch snip fresh tumeric rot)
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder (or, preferably a 4 inch fresh ginger root)
- lemon slices, or the juice of a full lemon (to taste)

Step 1
Place water into a small pot and bring to boil on the stove. Make sure that the water has come to a full boil. If using fresh gingerand tumeric, peel and cut into thin slices lengthwise. Add tumeric and ginger to the boiling water and reduce the simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. This will extract the beneficial compounds from the turmeric and ginger. Remove th epot from the stove. Strain the tea into a cup through a fine mesh strainer to filter out the particles of tumeric and ginger. Add sweetener and lemon to taste. Refrigerate.
