Egg Custard Pie - Good!

Ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie shell (Pillsbury or Kroger already prepared - refrigerated & rolled)
- 5 extra large eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 3 cups of whole milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Line pie plate with shell. Use some of the egg white to brush over bottom & sides of pie crust so liquid will not seep through & crust will remain flakey.
Beat eggs slightly, then add sugar, salt, and milk. Beat well and pour into the unbaked pie shell. Bake for approx. 1 hour until knife inserted in middle comes out clean. Wiggle the pie in the oven to see if the center is cooked - if it is, the pie will not jiggle in the center.
Remove from oven and cool. Sprinkle the top of pie with fresh ground nutmeg and serve. You may want to refrigerate before serving.
