- 1 head cabbage, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 bunch celery, chopped
- 1 can Rotel, undrained
- 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cartons beef broth
- 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 package chili seasoning
- 1 can black beans, rinsed
- 1 can pinto or kidney beans, rinsed

Step 1
1. In a large soup pot, combine cabbage, onion, celery, Rotel, tomatoes, and beef broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer (slightly covered) for 2 hours.
2. Meanwhile, after two hours of the soup simmering, brown the ground meat in a seperate skillet and drain. Return to the skillet. Add the chili seasoning. Add water to the seasoning packet and then to skillet. Simmer 5 minutes.
3. Add the ground meat and beans to the soup pot. Continue to simmer for 20 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
