Orange Cream Smoothie

Every time I've worked on a show of book involving kids, the nutritionist always encourages me to use as much yogurt and milk in my recipes as possible-it's so important for the kid's growing bones. Yogurt used to be a tough sell for kids. But now with all of the creative flavors, from Boston cream pie to pine apple upside-down cake to key lime pie (many of which even have added fiber for extra health benefits), it's easy to create delicious dishes that employ yogurt.

- 1 c. frozen mango cubes
- 1/2 c. fat-free, sugar-free orange yogurt
- 2 Tbls 100% orange juice (preferably freshly squeezed
- or "not from concentrate")
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 ice cubes

Step 1
In a blender with ice-crushing ability, combine the mango, yogurt, orange juice, vanilla, and ice. Make sure the lid is on tight. Using the Puree or Ice Crush setting, blend until relatively smooth. then blend on the liquefy setting or high speed until completely smooth. Transfer to a glass and serve.
