Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup cocoa (unsweetened)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Sift together dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
3. Add oil, coffee and milk; mix at medium speed with an electric mixer for 2 minutes. Then add eggs and vanilla; beat 2 more minutes. (Batter will be thin.)
4. Pour into either two 9" round pans or two 8" round pans plus 6 cupcake pans or sheet cake pan, 11x15 that have been greased and floured.
